  • Tonight it finally happens, my love and I will go to a concert of Mrs. Melody Gardot. For me it's the fourth time and I must confess, I'm excited again. Each of her concerts were different and a genuine experience for me! My only concern is the the summer temperature we have currently 88°F, but I am prepared proper, I packed my bag with a folding fan and a small towel. I will surely sweat.

Indeed you will if she comes out looking like that :D

How was the gig?
My site on 45Worlds, trying to catalog those dodgy cassettes that used to appear everywhere. Mainly because I find them a bit interesting and a little time capsule before they went legal

  • A short review of the (Melody G.) concert on Thursday night:

I forgot my goodies, so I got a rather dry mouth soon (had a brownie before the concert). Nevertheless it was again an unique concert that let me floatin' through the songs. Luckily they had the air-condition working. It wasn't as hot as we suspected.

The sax has gone, but it's just a visual change. (By the way the dude at the sax was a real artist!) She had a great band together again. (Guitar | Drums | Grand Piano | Cello) They created an intense, fragile but moving sound. Especially the cello added some surprisingly nice psychedelic elements. Every time she had a different idea of what should come next, musically, she demanded with small, but unambiguous gestures, that she expected something different. Sometimes she's a bit of a "Diva", but she's enchanting anyway! . Image

My hint, see her, whenever you have the chance to. . Image

Sounds interesting, i'm not familiar with her music but will keep a look out - always good to find new leads to other music :)
