  • Of course from the "C" section of my 7" singles cabinet, a keeper this time. I guess, most of you will remember this outstanding song, an incredible hit in 1969:

    • 'Let's Work Together' / 'I'm Her Man' - Canned Heat . (DE Liberty - 15 302, 1969)

I was at the tender age of 17 when this song hit the charts and I had to struggle these days, to get the money to buy this nice little gem . . .I still own this copy and it's still in 'NM' condition! . Image
Here's the audio clip for those of you who couldn't recall this song . . . of course for the others as well! . Image

  • Sure, I'm still working at the letter "C", here's one from my favorite male Italian singer, he has a distinctive, rough and husky voice. I guess this was his major hit over here in Germany and Europe:

    • 'Una Festa Sui Prati' / 'Mondo In Mi 7.a' - Adriano Celentano . (DE Ariola ‎- 19 586 AT, 1967)

      • . Image

I have to confess, that I haven't played this little gem for years! . Image

  • . . . file under "C" . . .

Here's something coming from a time, when I even didn't have the chance to think about becoming a record collector some day . . . (at the age of 10). But I heard it on the radio and I loved it immediately, it's was really a lucky coincident, that I discovered a 'M'! copy from this hit of my youth, a few years back!
    • 'Babysitter-Boogie' / 'Driftwood' - Buzz Clifford . (DE Philips - 322 712 BF, 1961)

  • While cataloging (still the letter "C") I was pleased to see what great 7" singles I have by the following band.

    • 'Bankrobber' / 'Rockers Galore.....' - The Clash . (UK CBS - S CBS 8323, 1980)

      • . Image

        . Image

        . Image

It's the song from all their records I have, that I love most and it definitely belongs to the gems in my 7" cabinet, that received a spin on a regularly basis until today. Self-evident it's an absolute keeper. Unfortunately I couldn't find out who the guy on the front cover is.
It is reported, that savage youngsters adopted it as some kind of an hymn when it was released in 1980.
