I know what you're talking about plasticman-
the (KISS) one we always played, if it didn't already have at least one or two credits on it, all
ya had to do was turn it off (underneath toggle switch), & back on- voila, u could play all day
while you were skipping school/smokin' weed/etc

what a deal, free pinball games with no skill required ha ha. each machine has a counter built in like the odometer on a car, it counts the number of times the game has been played. the juker or his route man is supposed to count the money taken in by the machine and balance it against the games or records played. if you're giving out more than 10% free plays the machine needs "adjusting". lots of little things can be done to cut down on the number of free plays. i can't imagine anyone opening up the machines and finding virtually no coins and seeing many games/records played. remember how fonzie would bump the jukebox in "happy days"?

Wurl, thing was, once ya had a 'free' credit or 2, ya didn't need a gazillion quarters- we had
all mastered that sucker pretty damn well enuff to rack up EXTRA credits, LOL. Interesting points about the jukers/route-men; now i wonder how we got away with that sh!t for so long

i just finished installing a complete new rubber kit on my kiss pinball. at the same time i always clean and wax the playing field, adjust the contacts for all the kicker switches, and clean and replace blackened and burned out lite bulbs. if it gets played lots you should swap out the ball [s] for new ones.
