Selling to record stores in Philadelphia area?

Post by Ernie11 » Sun Jun 01, 2014 11:32 am

I am asking those of you in the Philly area who have experience in this. Among the maybe 2 dozen or so record stores in this area, which stores will give you the best deal when you're selling your records? I plan to start slimming down my collection. I understand that record stores have to buy pretty low to make a living, so I don't expect to make that much, I just don't want to waste time on someone who will give me virtually nothing for them, and I don't to waste their time either. Thanks for any positive experiences you can post.

Have you thought about selling through the Guild first? You might get more money that way.

Doing that had crossed my mind, but I really didn't want to go thru the large amount of time / expense involved in shipping and mailing LP's etc. to people. Philly post offices tend to have long lines.
