In 1969 Chicago released "Beginnings" and it failed to chart. They hit a hot streak in 1970 with "Make Me Smile", "25 or 6 to 4", and "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is" all reaching the top ten. With a huge following firmly in place why not try again? They re-released "Beginnings" in 1971 this time with "Colour My World" as the B side instead of "Poem 58" the B side of the original release. Bam! It cracked the top ten as it went to #7 and both sides A & B were huge radio hits in the US. Credit Clive Davis at Colombia for knowing to strike when the iron is hot! Anyway if you have this single in your collection with C.M.W. as the B side keep looking. :P

This is their third album and doesn't turn up often, nevertheless La De Da' is such a melodic and unique song that it should have deserved more attention.
