Hearts' 2 yellow vinyl set. Pirate or bootleg?

Post by 96Tears » Fri Oct 18, 2013 12:35 am

I have a two record set where each lp is yellow see thru vinyl. The album cover is an unfinished white relatively empty with Hearts greatest hits. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

What label is this on?
Matrix numbers?
Photos?
Original studio recordings or live?

The album is pretty empty with primary standard tpyewrite font. It is a live double album. No real title other than Heart Solid Gold - On Gold Vinyl. Each side states "Side 1" "Side 2" etc. again in typewriter font.

Sounds like a bootleg. Any matrix numbers inscribed in the deadwax area?

Must be a bootleg from a live performance. Etched in deadwax area is:
SIDE ONE 78-158M; SIDE TWO 78-159M; SIDE THREE 78-160M; SIDE FOUR 78-161M. Any thoughts on value? Thanks for your help.

It sure sounds like a boot to me, too. I wonder if it's related to this 2xLP live boot on gold vinyl (maybe a "re-boot"): http://www.discogs.com/Heart-Double-Liv ... se/1907171

Thanks Audio!!!!!!!!!!! I really appreciate your help. This is the exact double set I have but was unable to find it when I did my discogs search. I used just Heart, and not Heart-Double-Live-Gold. Great to see it was from their 75 show at the Aquarius Tavern. Again, thanks.

Happy to help!

Discogs Tip: When searching for bootlegs, go to the artist page and click the "Unofficial" link in the left sidebar (boots don't show up on the default artist page).

hi there,

I confirm, it's a boot pressed in limited quantities in the late 70's by a US label...

cheers!
