Online 78 rpm Discographical Project?

Post by hartwise » Sun Jan 12, 2014 6:33 pm

Anyone know what's going on with the Online 78 rpm Discographical Project? The old site has a notice that it has moved to: http://www.78discography.com but I've been unable to get the new site to work. I hope they are just making some changes and the site will be up and running again soon 'cause I would hate to lose such a valuable resource! There haven't been any new posts on the Facebook page since last October. Anyone have any ideas?

Hmmm, I must be having computer problems! I've tried Mozilla, Chrome and Explorer and can't access this page at all. I keep getting "unable to connect" messages.

I get an error message (using the Konqueror browser):
The server failed the authenticity check (twitter.com).

The certificate authority's certificate is invalid
The root certificate authority's certificate is not trusted for this purpose
However, this could just be an issue with Konqueror, not keeping current with certificates.

I'm very glad to hear that the site is still up!! Now I just have to figure out why my computer can't access it. Sometimes new computers just aren't worth the trouble!

FIXED!!! My new computer came with McAfee Security installed and all I had to do was turn off the Firewall and the site now works! Isn't technology supposed to make things easier? It seems to be getting more and more complicated every day!

My advice is for you to lose McAfee altogether and try something else. McAfee has never given me anything but trouble.
