A 45 rpm single of "Revolution #9" b/w "Wild Honey Pie" on Capitalist Records..

Also, 2 Philippine 78 rpm singles, "Can't Buy Me Love"/"You Can't Do That" and "If I Fell"/"I'm Happy Just To Dance With You".

the "capitalist records" single is clever but not in the same class of cool as the Philippines 78s.

The "Capitalist" single comes from c. 2005.

Now a Philippine 78 is indeed cool. Two of them are doubly cool.

The only bummer about the 78's is that they are pressed on shellac, not vinyl.
I keep waiting for one of them to 'explode' in my hand...as a couple of my other 78's have already.

No doubt about it, shellac 78s are very fragile. The do not flex at all, and shatter very easily. Still a small inconvenience for a Beatles 78.

My Beatles goodies

Post by webkrawlerr » Sat Nov 01, 2014 9:57 am

I'll post some of mine. I mainly collect 45rpm and I have nearly 100 Beatles 45's. I have others I am proud of but I just picked these to share.

The green is a postcard 45rpm from Poland. It has Don't Let Me Down and Get Back on just the one side and has Pocztowka Dzwiekowa printed on the top.

The Ob-La-Di is from France and has an error in the writers credits as you can see. I have another one like this one from France that does not have the error.

Not sure if I mentioned my Dutch 45 copy of "Michelle" with the picture sleeve...which I got for FREE back in Nov. 1980 because my (Dutch) girlfriend's brother heard I was a Beatles collector and just GAVE it to me out of his own collection...nice guy!
If I did mention it, then I'm not going to say anything about the $3900 Vee Jay record mentioned three times in this string.

Nice there wand143. I would love to see the sleeve.

I have a French pressing of Michelle on a red Odeon EP with picture sleeve. I have over 80 Beatles 45's in my collection and climbing :)
