Dual CS 5000 w/ Shure Cart. and stylus

Post by hood1982 » Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:43 am

Go ahead and get jealous now....

O.k. I hit my best goodwill find ever today. I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in and saw a Dual CS 5000 with the maple deck! As a bonus there was a Shure V15V-MR installed.
Perfect condition and played like a charm!
I brought it home for..........get ready.............8 bucks!!!!!!!
Unbelievable! Only the lightest scratches on it. Perfect! I noticed 1 sold last month on ebay for $650. This one is not going ANYWHERE!

Sorry.....It's a walnut base not maple.
After research the Shure v15v-mr looks to be $300 ++ when they're even available.
I could not be happier right now! :D

I re-posted this from the open forum since it seemed better fitting. Pics comin' soon!

Here's what it looks like. My batteries are dead in my camera. So no pics until I can remember to pick some up. This is exactly like mine except for the cartridge and stylus.
The only accessory I have with mine is the Dual 45 adapter.
I like this thing more every day!

I did notice a difference with this one. The small plate on the right face is not there on mine.
I read that the first ones didn't have it. They added it later in the run.
This makes sense as the ebay one is no. 71990 and my tt is no. 38599.
