Paper Marks

Post by TOTTI11 » Tue Nov 12, 2013 9:33 pm

Have just opened some sealed lps from the 70s with paper inner sleeves that were stored tight together.
Some of the lps have paper marks and paper spots on them.
Is there anyway to get these spots and marks off the vinyl?
Normal wiping with a cloth will not remove them.

    • OK! The secret of it all is water! Have a look here! That's the way I treat all of the new entries to my collection, and I'm pretty sure, this will solve your issue too. It might be possible, that you have to let the water react on the paper for a few minutes. The main thing is, don't let the label get wet for too long!
