This thing has been around for years. Not so much press, as direct cut.

At 3,000+ euros, it's expensive (and you still need a turntable with a ton of torque). The dubplates that I've heard are not that hot on the quality side (although I'm not sure what format the original material was in, so that might have been the issue there) and they're not cheap either.

Interesting bit of kit, but you'd have to really need one for a specific purpose to actually go and buy one.
