Cecil Taylor plays it straight on this one. The cover says Trio And Quintet but really the whole LP is the trio augmented by Bill Barron (Tenor Saxophone) and Ted Curson (Trumpet) on two tracks. Very good album from 1959

  • The first of her albums I bought, because of a press review. It is still one of my "all time greatest" (vocal) jazz albums of all time and one of the most played albums from my record cabinet.

    • 'Holly Cole' - Holly Cole . (DE Tradition & Moderne ‎– T&M 1039, 2006) 180 gram, center-fold cover

She always gathered high class musicians to accompany her on her albums, it is really an outstanding pleasure to listen to them, no matter if it's with her 'Holly Cole Trio' or her solo albums. All of them are genuine, unique and fun to give the a spin. . Image
Here's an example audio clip for the interested! . Image

  • Not really a scarce recording, but I love, beside the fantastic songs, the cover picture, which implies nothing but rhythm . . .

    • Tommy Dorsey & His Orchestra . (DE Brunswick - 10 161 EPB, 1959)

    • A-side:
      • 'Tea For Two Cha Cha' / 'Cha Cha Cha For Gia'

    • B-side:
      • 'Dansero' / 'Patricia
