If the guy selling this was watching, he probably fell out of his chair after those last few seconds.

I was watching this as well and am amazed at the final selling price. I guess it's a good thing Mr. Tefteller upped his high bid from $36,777.77. He changed it this morning. Wonder what he was willing to pay? Would this be a record for the highest priced blues record to date? Oh, I just noticed that the shipping on this item is $4.00 for standard shipping. The seller better be triple boxing this one!

Yeah..I noticed that too......which makes me wonder also if he knew what he had.......as there is no description of it ..nothing..........listed it as if it was a garden variety 78........

I think he knew what he was selling. I just don't think he had any idea it would go that high. He started the auction at $499.99 and he's got some other GREAT 78s for sale right now. Wish I could afford some of them.

That makes sense........all in all a lottery ticket that spins with that one.....I'd be building a plywood box for it.....once the elation has calmed down some..........getting it there in one piece....I'd be a wreck till it got there.....

Hell if the buyer's in the US, I'd deliver it in person for that kind of coin.

Or the winner would be able to pick it up.

I imagine John Tefteller will pick this one up in person when he arrives to go through the rest of whatever the lucky guy has in the storage unit. I'm just glad the record got preserved.
