By the way, a quick question: Side 2 of the Evergreen Blues has a version of "Midnight Confessions". Does anyone know if this is a cover of the Grass Roots' big hit, or if it preceded it?

The Grass Roots' is the cover, from 1968, as opposed to EB's '67 release. As I recall, the teen/music mags like Hit Parader plugged the EB single, to no avail. I don't recall ever seeing it when it was new, or hearing it on the radio, and only finally found a copy many years later.
