A Global Dog amendments section

Post by lamas » Fri Oct 09, 2009 7:13 pm

Last week I received a record in the post that is one of those that GLOBAL DOG
has " missing " on the label in question ( PYE JAZZ )

I have had pm/s with him in the past.............obviously amendments are usuful to him ..........but he makes the point that he is tight for time because of the volume of work and the time his project takes up........... and it may take him some time to get around to the amendments

It occurs to me that if we had a section titled ( sa) ATTENTION GLOBAL DOG

The individual threads could be headed ( say in the example above )
amendments to.............. PYE JAZZ or whatever the label name is

BLOBAL DOG could then review these threads in his own time and use them as a
useful resource

....obviously pictures of the labels would help to authentificate the information given

Just a suggestion

OK it seems to me that it would help GLOBAL DOG if the posts for his attention were numbered

that way he could say that he had .seen up to number 12 .or number 44 or whatever number we have got to

SO number 1 is a PYE JAZZ release that is missing from GLOBAL DOG's list

When I get my collection back I shall be able to supply MORE of those that are missing from his PYE JAZZ list

AMENDMENT No 2

Johnny Dankworth passed away earlier this month and I was wanting to look up one of his early singles on Parlophone courtesy of GLOBAL DOG

The following is a quote from the site

Parlophone Records

Parlophone Records - OZ - subsidiary of EMI Records OZ

Parlophone Records - OZ - GEPO EP series

Parlophone Records - UK - subidiary of Decca Records UK

Parlophone Records - UK - GEP EP series
I will repat part of the above again as follows.......

Parlophone Records - OZ - subsidiary of EMI Records OZ

Parlophone Records - UK - subidiary of Decca Records UK

Parlophone Records - UK - should read SUBSIDIARY OF EMI RECORDS UK

..............not of UK DECCA ............WHO WERE OF COURSE BITTER RIVALS OF EMI AT THE TIME

I'd love to be able to serve up notarized, documented, constitutionalized amendments to Tim Neely or Jerry Osborne regarding their omissions and misstatements; as it is, I've not seen either acknowledge, change, or update anything based on correct info I've provided.

Regardless, quoting global dog's site:
Send additions and corrections to nipper@globaldogproductions.info
How are those instructions inadaquate? Is there reason to believe he's not reading his email (I mean, reason beside that he hasn't incorporated your corrections at the desired speed)? If starting a thread here to relay the same information to him that he's requested be sent my email is designed to "motivate" him to get things done as you'd like, how might he be expected to react to that? Just askin'.
