Re: RE: Re: how to grade records

my take on grading.... VG has a bazillion small problems. most folks won't want these. that doesn't mean they won't still play. And I agree opinions are a dime a dozen. However, I need to chime in with my 10 cents worth on this. I never liked the VG rating. It is rather ambiguous and can meet a ver...

RE: My Beatles goodies

[Not sure if I mentioned my Dutch 45 copy of "Michelle" with the picture sleeve] Nice there wand143. I would love to see the sleeve. I have a French pressing of Michelle on a red Odeon EP with picture sleeve. I have over 80 Beatles 45's in my collection and climbing :) http://connect.collectorz.com/...

"That big ol' hole, little bitty record...nobody's gonna buy that!" - Carl Perkins, 1956

LOL..I did not realize this tagline was there.

By 1956 45's had been out for going on 7 years. I am sure the sales, from what I have read, had been quite good for 45's for sometime by 1956.

I can tell you in Discogs, only records that are MARKED/PRINTED as promos from the factory are allowed to be listed as promos. Anything that has just a rubber stamp or sticker that says "promo" is not considered an actual promo.

I agree with this.

Wow, wand143. Very Cool! I had never heard of the EP before. Now it's on my shortlist to find! I met Weird Al during an album signing at a record store in Orlando, FL in 1983/84 for the IN 3-D album release. Took a pic with him and everything. I even asked him why none of his albums to date had ever...

Webkrawlerr, I've never heard of collectorz.com before. Is it a pretty good site to use for a personal discography? It is a pretty good site but honestly, I would recommend My Record List (http://myrecordlist.com/). I didn't find My Record List until after I had over 3000 records inputted in Collec...

I am in the middle of documenting online my record collection. I have over 5000 45rpm and many of them are novelty. I am notating the ones that are nov...
